I, DISTINC3UISHED SERVICE AWARD, — Under the provisions of paragr^h 8,

Civil Aar Patrol Regiilation 35-itj the Distinguished Service Award is awarded
to the foUowing-named Officer:

SECOND LIEUTENANT LOUIS ROSENBLATT, CAP 101731, Florid wing,
distinguished himself in Janaary 19ii3 by an act of heroism iiTvolving
voluntary risk of life at Lantana Airport, Florida, while assigned to

the Lantana Sqiiadron, Civil Air Patrol, LIEUTENANT (then CCHPCSIAL)

ROSENBLATT, disregarding his own personal safety, removed a badly
damaged bomb from the fuselage of a CAP aircraft that had crashed
returning fran an Anti«-3ulaaarine Patrol mission. This action averted
ccmplete destruction of a badly needed aircraft* The outstanding
heroism and distinctive leadership of LIEUTENANT ROSENBLATT reflect
great credit upo,i hiiiself arid the Ci-vil Air Patrol*
