I. When any member of the Civil Air Patrol goes on duty
with a Civil Coastal Patrol, his duty assi~ulment will determine his
appropriate rank and gradep in accordance with the table set forth
herein, while assigned to such duty irrespective of the member's
s t a t u s p r i o r t o a c c e p t i n g s u c h a c t i v e d u t y. U p o n t h e c o m p l e t i o n o f
the memberts tour of active duty~ s~Id memberWs rank and grade will
revert to the original status as before such duty tov~.

2. For administrative purposes the Patrol Commander may
appoint one mechanic as ~ster Sgt. when in charge of, or supervising

work of other mechanics. Guards, when organized as shifts, and as
may be necessa~j for administrative or comzland purposess maybe
organized with three ~ergsants and three corporals. V~nen State Defense Force oersonnel are employed as guards, they nay wear their
state uuiforms instead of Civil Air Patrol uniforms.
