1. Roforoncc: (a) Gonoral Lomorandura Wo. 76, this Headquarters,
27 February 1943, subject: "Promotion of Coastal Patrol and Liaison Patrol
Personnel"! (b) letter, this Headquarters 10 March, 1943, subject: "Policy
of Promotions - CaP Coastal Patrols and Liaison Patrols".
2. Supplementing paragraph 3 reference (b), the number of pro
motions within or to the commissioned-officer'grades, including the grade
of Flight Officer, authorized per base is hereby increased by an additional
four (4) promotions.
3. Particular attention is directed to the policy set forth in
paragraph 2, reference (b).
4. Promotions to and v/ithin the commissioned grades are made by
National Headquarters on recommendations of Base Commanders, each recom-
mendation being considered separately and on its merits. It is important
that recommendations be prepared in strict accordance v^ith instructions set
forth in paragraph 4, reference (b).
