Remuneration for Private Pilots when Flying for Governmental Defense A~encies.

i. The Civil Aeronautics Board has amended the Civil Air
Regulations to provide for the remunerstion of private pilots when
flying for Governmental Defense Agencies as follows:
"CAR 20.612 Privsto Pilot. A person possess¢i of
a valid private pilot certificate sh~ll not pilot
for hire any 81rer:~ft csrrying any person or property; nor nilot @ny sircr~'~ft in further2nce of a
business, except es an in~!dent to his personal
transport~tiou; Provided that this section shPll
not pre~ent such nilots from rsceivin~ renraneration
by direction of the Government of the United States,
or of any State or political subdivision thereof,
for participation in official missions of the Civil
Air Patrol, or of ~ other recognized semi-military
org~nizatlon while a member of ~uch or~aniz~Nion."
2. All Wing Contm~enders ere hereby requested to take immediate steps to inform ell members of their co~m~nds of this =mendment
to the Civil Air Repletions.
