b. Crash Insurgmce: The premimm for crash insurance on uach
aircraft used in said operations will be paid from the aircraft botal ~xilo~ances set forth in paragraph 3 heruof. The hourly premium charge for this
insuranc~ for aircraft of various horsepower is listed in the schodulu
presented in ~%ragra/n 3.

REIE~URSEE%ENT SCHEDULF~ FOR FOREST PATROL HISSIONS

(This Operations Directive No. 17-A supersedes Operations Directive No. 17, of
21 kay 1942, which is hereby rescinded as of ~idni~ht 30 April 1943, and which
will be removed from files. The table of rates ~ueluded herein ni!l supersede
all previously published schedules of rates for Forest Patrol Missions.)
1.

General.

~. The reimbursement schedules announced in this directive apply to all
Civil Air Patrol operations involving Forest Patrol ~iissions performed at the ~"
request of, and with funds furnished by any federal or state government of the
United States, or any subdivision~ unit, department or agency thereof. These
schedules do not apply to operations i~olving Coastal Patrol, Pipe Line Patrol,
Border Patrol, Courier Eissions, or Liiscellaneous Services.
~. With the exceotion of requests filed with National Headquarters by
agencies of the Federal Government, all requests for such Forest Patrol ~issions
and all arrangements incident thereto will in each case be cleared with Wing
Headquarters before said missions are undertaken.
~ . E x c e p t i n c a s e s o f e r f ~ r g e n c y, c o m p l e t e a r r a n g e m e n t s a s t o p r o c e d u r e t o
be followed ~making reimburseLle~h for services performed under the schedules
announced herein will be worked out with the requesting agency before said
missions are tu~dertaken.
~. All such missions will in each case be covered by official Operations
Orders in accordance with the provisions of Operations Directive No. 5~ 0perat~
Orders for Flight Missions, 6 March 1942.
~. Daily operations reports on ferns which will be furnished by National
Headquarters will be sub:,:ttted to National Headquarters. Such reports will be
signed by the Civil Air Patrol Comn~nders in charge of the missions and will set
forth the required information for each day of operation.

Required Insurance
Liability Insurance, Crash Insurance, and Accident Insurance are required on
all opera~ions ~overed by these schedules and no aircraft or personnel will
engage in said opera~ions until such insurance is first secured in the manner
set forth in insurance instructions issued by Civil Air Patrol in General
Memorandum No. 61 (as it may be amended from time to time).

by the Wing Commander with the insurance underwriters, through
