INTRODUCTION OF UNIT STAFF & BRIEF UNIT NARRATIVE

The Rocky Mt. Region is designated Region Seven and is composed of five Wings which include
Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. The Region completed the year 2017 with much
to be proud of concerning all aspects of operations. Examples of this were successful training
exercises held in the various wings which included SAREX's, Mountain Flying Clinics,
Aerospace Education Symposiums, Wing Encampments, Check Pilot Courses, Region Staff
College, Aircrew Training and individual Wing Conferences. All of these successful events
conducted by the individual Wings proved the Rocky Mountain Region is steadily moving
forward in it's quest for total professionalism. The Region welcomed it's newest Commander
Colonel Thomas R. Kettell on 8 January 2017. Colonel Kettell is the 23rd Commander appointed
to the Rocky Mountain Region.
